In this tutorial, we'll show you how to share and export your social data from the CARMA platform. Follow along as we explore the different options for exporting, scheduling reports, and sharing dashboards through a public URL.

1. Preparing to Share or Export

Before sharing or exporting your data, ensure your filters and date ranges are properly set in your social dashboard. Once you're happy with your settings, head over to the Actions Button located at the top right of your dashboard.

2. Sharing Options Overview

From the Actions Button, you’ll have three sharing options:

  1. Export
  2. Schedule Report
  3. Share Public URL

We’ll go through each of these options in detail.

3. Exporting Your Social Data

To start, let’s explore the Export options:

  1. Hover over the Export button to open a list of export formats.
  2. Choose your preferred format:
    • PNG: Saves your dashboard as an image.
    • PDF: Provides a PDF document of your selected dashboard.
    • PowerPoint: Exports each individual dashboard widget onto separate PowerPoint slides.
    • AI-Powered PowerPoint Report: Similar to the standard PowerPoint option but includes AI-generated insights for each widget (except for top posts and influencers).

Note: The AI-powered insights provide valuable overviews but may require additional analysis. For a deeper understanding, you can consult your CARMA Account Manager for customized insights beyond the AI algorithms.

4. Scheduling a Social Dashboard Report

Next, let’s learn how to schedule regular reports from your social dashboard:

  1. Go back to the Actions Button and hover over Schedule Reports.
  2. Click Create Schedule Report to get started.

Steps to Schedule a Report:

  1. Report Name: Enter an internal name for the report.
  2. Email Subject Line: Add a subject line for the email that will send the report.
  3. Recipients: Enter the email addresses of the recipients. You can also contact your CARMA Account Manager to set up a predefined mailing list.
  4. Frequency & Time: Choose how often and when to send the report:
    • Click Add Time and select from hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly.
    • For example, you can set the report to be sent daily at 9:00 AM, showing data from the past 24 hours, or monthly on the 1st day of the month, summarizing data from the previous month.
    Multiple delivery times can be selected for a single dashboard report.

Customization:

  • Add a Company Logo: Upload your company’s logo by clicking Browse. If no logo is uploaded, the CARMA logo will be used.
  • Report Text: Customize the report text, which will be shown in the email along with a link to the public dashboard.
  • PowerPoint Attachment: You have the option to attach a PowerPoint version of the dashboard report.

Once everything is set, click Save and Close to schedule your dashboard report.

5. Sharing Your Dashboard with a Public URL

The final sharing option allows you to share your dashboard via a public URL. This option is ideal for stakeholders who don’t have access to the CARMA platform.

Steps to Share a Public URL:

  1. Go to the Actions Button and click on Share Public URL.
  2. The link will be copied to your clipboard.
  3. You can then share the link with others, allowing them to view your dashboard data without needing to log in.

Note: The public URL will expire after 30 days, so stakeholders will need to access it within that time frame.
