[Newsletters](https://help.carma.com/ai-reporting?hsLang=en#newsletters) # Create a newsletter template ## Create a reusable newsletter template to organise your coverage and customise how your newsletter looks. Once your template is ready, you can use it to schedule newsletters for your audience. ### 1. Open Newsletters Go to **Reporting \> Newsletters**.![](https://help.carma.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-23-2026-09-31-36-8265-AM.png?width=670&height=252&name=image-png-Sep-23-2026-09-31-36-8265-AM.png) Click **New Template** in the top-right corner. 2\. Set up your template Enter a **Name** for your template. Select the appropriate **Permission Level**: - **User level** — Only you can access this template. - **Project level** — Anyone with access to this project can access the template. - **User Project level** — Only you can access the template within this project. Set up your newsletter sections You'll be taken to the **Sections** page, where you can decide how your newsletter is organised and which coverage appears in each section. #### Editing a Section: Click the **Cog Icon** on the first section to open the settings.![newsletter-section-settings-v3](https://help.carma.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Help%20Centre/newsletter-section-settings-v3.gif?width=670&height=338&name=newsletter-section-settings-v3.gif) In **Article Settings**: 1. Give your section a **Name**. 2. Choose the **Metadata Placeholders** you want to display. 3. Open **Filters** - Essential & Advanced - to control which coverage appears in the section. You can filter coverage using criteria such as: - - Specific Saved Search - Outlets - Sentiment - Tags - Countries **![](https://help.carma.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-23-2026-10-01-34-8854-AM.png?width=670&height=433&name=image-png-Sep-23-2026-10-01-34-8854-AM.png)** When you're finished, click **Save Section**. ### Add more sections To add another section, click **Create Section** and configure it in the same way. Once you've finished setting up your sections, click **Next** to continue to the newsletter editor. ### 4. Customise your newsletter layout In the newsletter editor, you can customise the layout, content and appearance of your template. #### ![](https://help.carma.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-23-2026-10-05-28-5594-AM.png?width=670&height=433&name=image-png-Sep-23-2026-10-05-28-5594-AM.png)C ### Add components Use the **Components** panel to add elements such as: - Articles - Images - Chart blocks Drag and drop a component into your newsletter to add it to the layout. ### Edit components To customise a component you've added, click the **pencil icon** on the component. From there, you can adjust its available settings, including its appearance and content options. While there are many options for customizing the design, layout, and content in this section, you don’t need to master everything right now.  ### 5. Save your newsletter template When you're happy with your sections, content and layout, click **Save as Draft**.
